ACTUAL AUSTRALIAN COURT DOCKET 12659 CASE OF THE PREGNANT LADY

Subject: Actual Case

ACTUAL AUSTRALIAN COURT DOCKET 12659 CASE OF THE
PREGNANT LADY

A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus. She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her. She immediately moved to another seat. This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again.

The man seemed more amused.

When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing, she complained to the driver and he had the man arrested.

The case came up in court. The judge asked the man (about 20 years old) what he had to say for himself. The man replied "Well your Honor, it was like this:

When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition. She sat under a sweets sign that said, "The Double Mint Twins are coming" and I grinned.

Then she moved and sat under a sign that said, "Logan's Liniment will reduce the swelling", and I had to smile.

Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said, "William's Big Stick Did the Trick", and I could hardly contain myself.

BUT, your Honor, when she moved the fourth time and sat under a sign that said, "Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident" I just lost it."

"CASE DISMISSED!"

 My Favorite Things

  1. The Geico gecko. I would love to bring him home and have him talk to me in that cute Aussie accent. I would kiss him and hug him and love him and hug him and kiss him.
  2. Humor. I love to laugh. Make me laugh and I will follow you any where.
  3. The smell of rain after a long hot day.
  4. The drone of an airplane traveling across a blue sky on a warm summer day.
  5. Pizza with extra cheese.
  6. Over sized T shirts and blue jeans.
  7. Walking barefoot through a mud puddle.
  8. Sweet Pea by Bath and Body Works.  If heaven has a scent, then I think it must be Sweet Pea.
  9. Writing, especially when it reads well. Sometimes I write all day and strive for just the right words, the perfect syntax, the most delicious plot and the most memorable characters and still it comes out as exciting as  this: Roses are red, violets are blue, sometimes it rhymes, sometimes it doesn't...
  10. Blogging. I love it. I have blogged myself into a corner now as I have eight blogs and three websites to maintain. It doesn't leave much time for actual work. But hey! I'm having fun.

 The Barefoot Child

The clock ticks in the background as I wander back in time to barefoot days of summer, wild strawberries and sunshine, and the scent of Mock Orange, Lilac and Roses around a house built of love and sawmill lumber, and nights of chasing fireflies and dreaming dreams in peaceful slumber.

I recall a dark-haired lady cooking breakfast on a wood-burning stove. I remember starry nights and summer days filled with laughter and blessed with love.

All the flowers have faded now and the lady's hair has turned to gray, yet somewhere in the distance, so near yet so far away, I still hear her sweet voice singing a song from long ago...the sweet lullaby she used to sing to the child of long ago.

Many years have come and gone, yet with each visit I find that my memory grows much sweeter when I wander back in time. Gone are those care-free days of summer and youth so free and wild, yet here within the heart of me still lives that barefoot child.

 The Open Cage

I floundered like a wounded bird
with spirit bruised and torn,
upon a sea of deep despair
my soul was tired and worn.

You took me in and cared for me;
You helped my spirit mend.
You taught me what it means to love
and how to be a friend.

Yet in your quiet wisdom
you knew there'd come a day,
when I would need to try my wings
and once more fly away.

And now, My Love, I wonder
If perhaps you also knew
that on the day you set me free,
I would fly straight back to you.

 The Oak and the Willow

Once there was a mighty Oak, standing tall and proud.

He saw the humble Willow tree and began to laugh aloud.

“Why do you bend and weep?” cried he, “Why do you not stand tall?

I am proud and strong and tall and nothing shall make ME fall!”

Then a mighty wind blew up and the Oak came crashing down.

The Willow wept and swayed and bent, yet firmly held his ground.

When the storm was over, the Willow tree bent down,

and brushed the mighty fallen Oak that lay upon the ground.

“O you foolish tree,” he cried, “was pride your greatest friend?

Didn’t you know that even the strong must sometimes weep and bend?”
